Maximum added value for farmers - our partners in focus. Part 1: The craftsman portal JAROWA
The real estate industry is experiencing a shift towards digitalization. Owners, property managers and tenants want and demand faster and simpler processes for communication and services. With Allthings, a platform has developed that bundles 100% of all tenant concerns across all relevant communication channels. The modular system allows full integration of other technical specialists who have focused on different needs. For example, two market leaders in digital technologies decided in the middle of the year to enter into a cooperation that focuses on tenant concerns - Allthings and JAROWA - a craftsmen's portal.
We asked Cyril Kägi, co-founder of JAROWA, some questions and got some exciting insights, which we want to share with you.
1. Cyril, how would you describe your company or "what you do" in two sentences?
JAROWA connects all actors of a claim or repair. At its core is our philosophy that all parties should benefit from the platform and all actors are customers.
2. What are the three most interesting digital services you have seen in the last six months (in
the real estate environment)?
I find new models regarding real estate marketing (rental/sale) very exciting, because I think the costs of existing solutions for rentals are too high. I also find the solutions that digitalize time- and paper-intensive processes extremely interesting, e.g. the digital reading of electricity meters or the digital provision of utility bills. There is a considerable savings potential there. In addition, I find the connection of tenant portals to tradesman portals interesting, of course, because I know the challenges of administrations as control centers.
3. What do you consider underestimated in the context of the digitalization debate?
The costs and energy that start-ups invest to offer a marketable product are massively underestimated. Delays or half-hearted implementations can then get to the heart of the matter very quickly. I believe that founders are well advised to make this transparent and not to be too lenient in negotiations, where they are often in a weaker position. Only if a partnership can be established at eye level will the product be sustainable for both sides.
4. At which company - Allthings and your own excluded ;-) - would you like to run with for a week as an insider?
I would like to experience the daily job of a clerk at a real estate management company. We've done many workshops and have a good basic understanding, but the devil is in the details, and I would like to understand them and establish solutions to problems. I believe that the clerks have to satisfy a lot of stakeholders and that this balancing act is not always easy.
