“Collaboration is key” – The first Allthings Summit 2019 establishes itself as a networking platform for experts
Leading experts from the real estate industry, top-class speakers, exciting case studies and the FIFA World Cup up close – all this was on offer at the first Allthings Summit 2019, which took place on the 13th November at the FIFA Museum in Zurich. At this very successful event, the 70 invited guests were able to not only discuss the future of digital ecosystems in the real estate industry together, but were also given unique insights into the history of football, during a guided tour of the FIFA Museum.
A brief welcome to the event was given by Robert Beer, the Managing Director of Allthings, which was then followed by the opening keynote from Prof. Dr. Markus Schmidiger, Head of Real Estate Management Studies, Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – Institute for Financial Services IFZ followed. With the title “Platforms Ecosystem – Successful thanks to Ecosystems in Real Estate Management”, he explained the function and significance of ecosystems and digital platforms within the real estate industry. The keynote speech was then followed by the first round of lectures. Here the guests could choose between two parallel lectures, which were repeated again after a break.
Innovative tenant portals offer opportunities
In his presentation, Gerald Kremer, Chief Digital Officer of Credit Suisse Asset Management Global Real Estate, with partners EVVA and iptiQ, illustrated the advantages of building a digital ecosystem and the benefits of a tenant portal such as Living Services. Using the new building project “Bülach – Im Guss” as an example, the audience learned how Credit Suisse Asset Management, together with Allthings and its partners iptiQ, Evva and Schweizer, are continuously expanding the Living Services tenant portal with brand new services and functionalities, as well as which opportunities and advantages it offers tenants.
New paths in tenant communication – tenant platforms and virtual dossiers
“360 degree tenant communication: What makes a good tenant ticketing system?” – this was the title of the second lecture given by Patrick Rohner, Head of Business Development at PRIVERA with partners Batmaid and MOVU. Patrick Rohner showed how PRIVERA has already introduced the Allthings platform in an area-wide roll-out for 34,000 tenants and how it is constantly expanding. He addressed two central points: the tenant must always be at the centre of your service, and you must offer clear added value. In addition, tenant expectations are changing fast with the introduction of digital portals. A fast response-time to enquiries is therefore becoming a decisive factor for the implementation of a portal, says Rohner. PRIVERA has already gone one step further and developed an innovative virtual tenant dossier as part of its cooperation with Allthings, to better enable 360-degree tenant communication.
Successful discussions between proptechs and real estate experts
During the break between the two lecture rounds, the participants not only had the opportunity to discuss the topics, but also had the exclusive opportunity of a private guided tour through the FIFA Museum.
Stefan Zanetti, founder and CEO of Allthings, concluded the evening with a speech. “With our Summit, we are delighted to offer leading experts and representatives of the real estate industry and proptechs the platform to exchange views on important future topics and to discuss new paths together.
At the final aperitif, the guests exchanged views on the advantages of digitisation in the industry until late into the evening. The possibilities of how digital platforms can be best utilised, whilst also realising efficiency gains and competitive advantages were hot topics of discussion.
