The property and real estate developer Losinger Marazzi lays the foundation for its strategic smart city initiative by being the first company to equip all of its major projects with a digital application for future residents and users. The choice is again Allthings Technologies, the German-Swiss proptech company with its modular real estate service platform “Allthings”.
Over the past two years, different projects with neighbourhood or building-related apps have already been implemented, including the 2000-Watt Sites “Erlenmatt West” in Basel, “Im Lenz” in Lenzburg and “Greencity” in Zurich as well as the office location “Twist Again” in Bern and the residential complex “Sommerrain” in Ostermundigen. In the next three years, the two companies will further expand their collaboration.
Around 45 Projects equipped with the Allthings Platform
As a leading company in the field of intelligent construction, Losinger Marazzi will equip approximately 45 upcoming property and real estate projects with an application based on the Allthings platform over the next three years. The portfolio includes residential, commercial, as well as mixed-use projects, and ranges from individual building renovations to some of the largest projects and sustainable urban neighbourhoods in Switzerland – in total, over 8000 living and working spaces. Pascal Bärtschi, CEO of Losinger Marazzi, emphasises: “We want to assert ourselves as an industry leader and, as such, digitalisation is an important consideration for us. In the future, life will not only take place in real, constructed buildings and spaces, but also in the digital dimension of a property. With which digital scenarios should we serve the neighbourhoods that we are currently planning? What does the office world look like for modern nomads? The answers are not always the same, but in the future they will most certainly always include digital services related to the buildings. That is why we are counting on a platform that can modularly be adapted to respond to the specific needs that arise in a variety of different user cases”.
The deployment of Allthings makes possible, on the one hand, a perfectly suited solution for properties with specific functions that are relevant for their intended uses. On the other hand, the deployment of a single platform for all properties makes the projects analysable and comparable, while ensuring data security at all times. Stefan Zanetti, founder and CEO of Allthings, says: “Data about happenings in buildings will play a central role in the future: Property developers and owners can use it to optimise potential for ongoing and new projects. It can also be used to develop new business models. Losinger Marazzi continues along the path it has been following for the last two years. In doing so, it is the first property and real estate developer worldwide to equip all of its properties with a digital platform for its operating period”.
